Nestled within a serene residential neighborhood, The Monarch stands as a family-owned residence. The entire design is influenced by a minimalist aesthetic, which is reflected in every aspect of the home. The layout is meticulously planned, with spaces organized in a linear fashion. Upon entering the building through the central spine, the user will gradually experience a transition from public to semi-private to private spaces. To enhance the connection with the surrounding landscape, the building incorporates open-to-sky courtyards strategically. These courtyards ensure that every area within the residence offers a direct view of the natural surroundings. Additionally, the house features decks, terraces, and balconies that are easily accessible, fostering a tangible connection between the residents and the natural world. The use of full-length windows and doors further amplifies the unobstructed views, allowing the beauty of the surroundings to seamlessly merge with the interior spaces. The interaction between the inside and outside is enhanced even more by the surroundings. These various techniques work together to create a biophilic living space that supports the user's mental well-being.
